Police concede defeat in 3 year hide and seek contest with Julian Assange
After 3 years and £12m of cost the Police will no longer hang about outside the Ecuadorian Embassy waiting for Julian Assange to pop out for a pint of milk so that they can put him in a sack and send him to the Americans.
Perhaps the Swedes will stop by soon and interrogate him and we can have this situation resolved.

''Monk - you're forgetting the rule about someone looking "a bit shifty".

And more often than not that turns out to be the case. You don't need to be a gynecologist to spot a cunt.

"And why did you arrest this man ?"

"He was in possession of funny coloured hair, sir"

"I see, carry on constable"

"We wanted to know what we would do if we were infected with HIV."

Are you sure that's the correct translation?

For some (on here). ""He fucked us relentlessly in every orifice and in every possible position for so long we passed out, and when we came to, he was still at it." these innocent young waifs whispered," is what was actually reported to the police.

The idea that Sweden would be colluding with rhe US but we wouldn't is ridiculous. Innocents or guilty, he should go and stand trial. This is Sweden we are talking about after all, not Kazakhstan.

How about if somebody clicks their heels together three times and wishes really hard he was guilty? Would THAT make him so?

Of course he hasn't read the evidence. It's WHO rules where guilt is assumed based solely on your opinion of the alleged perpetrator (particularly if there is a political angle).

Peroni, if that's your conclusion you definitely have not. I've read all the interrogations with the women.

Via G-translate. Jealousy.

You know what happened. A newly appointed global celebrity, Julian Assange, came one day in August 2010 to Sweden to present the hacked material revealed governments immoral duplicity.
Assange was left-wing bloggers St. George. TV producers and editors strutted.
A girl in organizing the joint, a political activist in a youth, became so fond of him that she arranged a crayfish party in his apartment in the Old City.
The other girl did the organizers a service as errand girl. She texted her friends said that she was with "the world's smartest man". She then asked Assange: "Are not you going to hang me home to Enköping? Yes, I pay your train ticket. "

But all crapped up. The girls, who had not known each other, happened to come together. And, not surprisingly, they compared their impressions of Assange and became aware of his double dating.

The girls went together to the police. They explain: We wanted to know what we would do if we were infected with HIV.
Then there was the uproar started. Prosecutors and lawyers were called in.

Definite rapist.

If you read the police reports of this alleged sexual misconduct it seems to have been nothing of the sort. In summary, all allegations are basically from stalkers who wanted to bed him for fame and got angered when he moved on.

This cunt can play the long game, that's for sure.

I caught this on the news yesterday, basically it will be Sweden he will be extradited to first, he did have 3 charges hanging over him there but the clock has run down on 2 of them and he can now only be questioned on 1 of them, which is rape, but it's also possible that the clock will run down on that charge too. But he is concerned that Sweden will ultimately extradite him to America where he is wanted there for questioning there too.

What I suspect you'll find is that him & his wikileaks put someone's nose out of joint and that person, having access to a state's legal resources, deployed them to get his or her "own back".

Fuck all to do with any state security - someone was caught with their fingers in a (tax) till.

No bollocks. Should have sent the SAS in to get him and them subsequently deport him.

Tickled me, did that.

It seems a ridiculous figure. Presumably there is some team of high powered senior Met people and PR types whose cost are allocated to this case.

I'd be curious as to how many Australian illegals there are in the UK. From people I know their visas have been policed quite fiercely but who knows how many have slipped through.
Of course Assange has applied for asylum in Ecuador and in the embassy is presumably treated as though he is on Ecuadorean soil. I don't think they have decided to grant it and are probably just banging their heads on the table wondering how they ever got involved in this. Talk about overstaying your welcome

I want to know where this 12 million comes from?

4 coppers (2x12 hour shifts) at 50k a year = 200,000 a year x3 years = 600,000

Way short of 12 million.
